CNC Water Jet Cutting

Our Calypso Water Jet has a cutting envelope 72’’ by 144’’ and pumps water to 60,000 psi resulting in an abrasive jet of sand and water exiting the mixing tube at roughly the speed of sound. We can cut accurate clean edges that allow for tight nesting and reduced scrap saving you money through greater material utilization.

Offering contract waterjet cutting services, 3FAB is able to cut a variety of materials with ease. Whatever your business be it manufacturing, construction, ornamental, automotive, aerospace, stone and tile, tool and die, gaskets, or fabrication, we can cut stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, stone, plastics, composites, glass, ceramics, rubber and more. Our water jet can cut through materials up to 6 inches thick with no Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) and superior edge quality with no burrs, tolerance and accuracy are within +/-.003 inches. Please provide us your .dxf files, CAD files or scanned images for a free quotation.

There are five different quality levels when using our Waterjet. Smoothness and precision increase as you go from quality one to five. For quality one, the material is cut the fastest with the lowest edge quality. For quality five, the material is cut slowest with the best edge quality. Our estimators can help you choose the correct quality for you.
